A UK small double mattress measures 120 × 190 cm (4ft wide), larger than a single but smaller than a standard double. Choose a mattress that fits the frame snugly, with no large gaps around the edges. Mattress not included.
This toddler floor bed in small double size is designed for older toddlers and young children, and we recommend it from 4 years. The low side rails help keep bedding in place while your child climbs in and out independently.
Yes. Low side rails run around the frame to hold the mattress and bedding in place and give a cosy, secure feel, without stopping your child from getting in and out on their own.
A small double has room for two children to share, for example for sleepovers or shared bedrooms, as long as both children are old enough for the bed (4+). For younger children, separate beds are the safer choice.
A small double gives more room for children who move in their sleep, space for reading or a parent at bedtime, and a bed that lasts well into the pre-teen years, so you won't need to upgrade as your child grows.

Built the bed this evening - very clear online instructions, simple to build and feels very solid without the mattress on yet.
Teressa replied to my questions after midnight on Sunday immediately and item was dispatched Monday morning and delivered Tuesday afternoon.
Only thing that isn’t ideal is that the bed slats are loose and do not fit into a slot / or attached to bed in any way so will move at slightest touch / mattress being placed on top. But first world issue! Hopefully our toddler will love the bed and his independence.
