To ensure safety, we recommend the following age ranges for children's beds:
- Cot beds – Suitable for children aged 2 and under.
- Toddler beds – Ideal for children aged 2 to 4.
- Low sleepers – Best for children aged 4+.
- Mid sleepers – Suitable for children aged 6+.
- High sleepers – Best for children aged 6+.
- Bunk beds – Top bunk: ages 6+, bottom bunk: ages 3+.
Taller beds, such as mid-sleepers or bunk beds, require children to be able to get in and out of bed safely, often with a ladder. Younger children may struggle or find it unsafe, so lower beds are recommended to minimise the risk of injury.
